Company History

Georgia Healthy Homes was established in 2020 after several years of planning. After many years of educating real estate professionals and homebuyers about the importance of maintaining a healthy indoor environment, Mike decided to take it to the next level and offer solutions to his clients' concerns. Georgia Healthy Homes is focused on radon testing and mitigation but is also well versed in assessing indoor environments for other health risks associated with poor indoor air quality and other environmental contaminants like mold, asbestos and lead-based paint.

About the Owner

Mike Leggett, Owner

Mike has been involved in the construction and home improvement industry since he took a part-time construction job while completing a Chemistry degree at Clemson University. After moving to Athens in 1998, he discovered that entrepreneurship is his passion. In 2014 he purchased an owner-operator home inspection company that he grew into a multi-inspector company that covers 20 Georgia counties.

As a home inspector with a background in science and a passion for education, Mike quickly became the local expert on radon, mold, and indoor air quality. A lack of local mitigation providers gave him the vision to start Georgia Healthy Homes to address radon testing, radon mitigation, and indoor air quality issues that Georgia homeowners face.

Mike values training and education and holds a number of certifications and professional affiliations. He is a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association and a certified Radon Measurement and Mitigation Professional.
